Dear readers,
a few days ago I saw a movie, called "An Inconvenient Truth", in wich Al Gore talked about global warming, its causes, its consequences and what can be done to prevent it. I could not tell if I really liked it. Why? Well, it is a very interesting film indeed, but as the title itself sais, it is an inconvenient truth. It is not something that you enjoy saying. One does not simply hear "hey you are going to die in a few years if you keep living like this" and not get affected by it. And that is exactly why I recommend everyone to see it, because it is an eye-opening movie, that we all need to see in order to know what is going on, and stop it once and for all. Too long have we being polluting the earth. I will show you one of the most shocking images of An Inconvenient Trut, wich might depict the entire movie, and let those of you who have not seen it, know a bit of what it is like.

There you can see how CO2 has risen. Shocking, right? Well, I don't want to ruin this movie by telling you too much about it, but what I will tell you, is that you have to see it, and change the way you live.
Now, to finish this post, I want to leave you with 2 sentences, wich I find both beautiful and horrifying.

Review and opinion of “An Inconvenient truth” – Javiera

Dear world,

I think we all are aware or at least have heard something about the actual Global Warming.  Well, “An Inconvenient truth” is a movie directed by Davis Guggenheim, Written by Al Gore and Starring Al Gore that explains the truth behind the blindness of humans when it comes to face this issue. 

 Al Gore shows things that we see or hear about everyday in the news, like typhoons, floods, droughts, and other disasters that happen in places and times they never happened before, or at least they were not so devastating. He express how impressive it is that we humans can close our eyes and really believe that there is not a problem that, it is just an illusion, a trick of our minds and in fact that’s what we do, don’t you think? Just shut our minds up in the idea that this isn’t really happening or if it’s real, then it will solve itself and that we in a strange way just have nothing to do with it.

Well, I really believe that this movie reflects very well the state of the world in these moments and of our governments,  that are not capable to see it. And it’s not just them; we also don’t see it so clearly. It’s true that we know what is happening, we recognize the problem and also we know forms to change it, but of all of us, how many do really change not only their way of thinking, also their way of  acting?

Finally, I want to propose to all of you readers, that you see this movie, because you know you have time to watch this impressive movie and I hope that you can see in it what is happening and what we can do to fight back.

We are all on this!

A few days before we saw a very interesting movie about the Global Warming, well, I have seen this movie like 2 or 3 times before and I found it very boring :( but now when I watched this movie again (and complete for the firts time in my life) I get the message from this film and I realized how many things we do daily and how this DOES affect terribly our Earth and human race.

In the movie we can see evidences of The Global Warming and the effects of it too! We can not be so blind and say that nothing of this is real because it IS real, it IS happen, here and in every single part where we go.

There is a man who explain us all this effects and evidences of Global Warming, this man is Al Gore. This political figure help us to understand what is happening to our Earth with scientific evidence, so people can not say that this man is crazy or that he is telling us blasphemies.

Along all the movie we can see many graphics that show us how the number of pollution, ice melt, higher temperatures are rising since the Industrial Revolution. We can not wait for more natural disasters we must take care of our unique home. If we don't make it a lot of people will loses their homes, their families, they will lose everything even if they have nothing left to lose. We need to get together all our forces and wills and make a big change!

The future of our humanity is in our hands, we can change the course of the things, we just need to want it. And many of the solutions are just in front of us like recycling, reduce and re-use, this are simple ways to make a big change of what is ocurring in our home.

If you really care about your world you may see the movie, it explains a lot of what is happening in differents places of the Earth, it takes time but it does worth. We all need to be inquierd for make this place a better.

Review "An Inconvinient Truth" - Nicolas

Dear "co-humans",
Today I'm writing to tell you about the documentary film we saw in our class, called "An Inconvinient Truth" from the director Davis Guggenheim. This film focuses on the former vice-president of the United States, Al Gore, and his point of view on these important topic, the global warming, and a conference he gave in order to create concience on the people from many cities and countries arround the globe. In this movie he presented evidence and proofs on this well debated (but not solved jet) subject, that helps to convince the people of this fact: our planet is getting warmer. That is the inconvinient truth Al Gore's talking about, the Earth's temperature is actually increasing, so what he does is just to aware people of it, and convice them ,with the facts and stadistics, that it's truth. At least that is what he caused on me, he has shown us so many proofs of it that it is almost impossible to contradict him. In my opinion it's a great movie because it's capable of change some people's way of thinking about the environmental crisis, and what we can do about it. Also at the end, it give us some advices on how to reduce our CO2 emission and with it the incireasing of global temperature.

In this picture we can see what, in my opinion, are the principal reasons to see the movie:

• First. Mr. Al Gore uses lots of interactive material to explain the peolple some topics that are not very simple, so if you didn't understand it the first time you heard it, will probably be clear now, so you actually get convinced of those facts you hadn't understood until now.
• Second. with this interactive material, he shows you really intesting facts that you probably already knew, but this movie helps you to conect the dots and generate your own conclusions about the global warming and it's impact. So you really kind of feel guilty after watching the movie becase is our fault, and we haven't dane anything to stop it jet.

So it's our turn to do something to revert this, let's reduce our carbon emissions!

"An inconvenient truth"

I watched the movie “An Inconvenient truth” who speaks about the Global Warming. I now that a lot of people think that this issue isn’t important, or think that it doesn´t matter, because they don´t be here in some years or they don´t want to spend money in something that don´t give they anything in return. There are people too, that don´t know the effect that the global warming produce or what would happen if they don´t do anything to change.

The movie gives us information about the effect, the evidence and what could we do to prevent the global warming. It shows a lot of images; graphics and things that we need know to prevent the catastrophe. It shows the different places where we have an evidence of the global warming. It is so impressive look this places, because they are around the all world. The factors that produce this evidence are terrible. There are ice malting, hurricanes, precipitations, flooding, droughts, some burnings and of course the temperature increasing.  It shows the countries that contaminated a lot and how they contaminated.

Something that takes my attention was one message who speak with a lot of truth: “do the right things move´s us forward” I found it so important. Because this sentence shows us that we must responding at the global warming. It is difficult, but we need answer, because it is the only way to survive.

I think that this movie was very interesting, because it shows us our reality and no the things that we only imagine. It shows how really affect our acts in this World. I recommend it. No why it is funny, so because it teaches us and shows how really the world is in this moment.
